Anybody build Aeroclub models? Opinions on the quality of the kits?
I want to build a 1/48 Tiger Moth and my choices are either Aeroclub or Smer ( I just got the Smer model in the mail- all i can say is- it's not Tamiya quality).
thanks
Peter

Hi Peter,
I have never built one of Aeroclub's models, although I have one of their E.E. Lightnings. It is a multi mediea kit but it is relatively easy to build. John Adams (owner of Aeroclub) is truly dedicated, I see him every year at, what is now Scale Modelworld, in the UK. His Tiger Moth will be worth getting. It will probably have vac formed fuselage and wings, with some parts in low pressure injection plastic and a welth of white metal detail parts. If I was going to build a Tiger Moth thats the one that I would choose. :-)
