her's a question thats been bugging me for a while, is that a solid nosed B17 with a big gun in the top corner of the netmerchants ad? and what kit is it?

I'll vote B-17, but I think it's an early version, D? Or, could it be a 'funny" a standard B-17 with a piece of artillery in the nose, kinda like a B-25 J?

SILA leased and thereafter bought seven B-17s (aircraft that made emergency landings in Sweden) and used them for courier service to Scotland.
I believe the aircraft depicted is this one, or one of its sister ships.

of course! what i always thought was the word "sweep" on the fusalage is actually the word "sweden"
