Because of the subject and the scale (1/48), and while not strictly an aircraft related model, Tamiya's new VW Type 82E "Beetle" kit can be an interesting counterpart for a Luftwaffe WW2 or Allied post war plane.
And it's a lovely little kit!

Nice review Jean-Luc

you did not answer my question in another thread about how the staff is thinking about posting links to other sites. I will do it now to be subject to your veto.

There are two threads in Track 48 forum with some nice information on the Käfer:

VW Typ 82E ... (do not be shocked, the question is from me, but there's plenty of information .. especially from Bruce culver)

and

VW Off-road Buggy

furthe rlinks in those threads.

best wishes

Steffen

Hi Steffen

There's no problem as far as I'm concerned. Links to informative articles and discussions elsewhere are to everyone's benefit.

And yes - neat review Jean-Luc! I just popped out in my lunchbreak to see if I could get one of these, but ModelZone didn't have either this or the Luftwaffe ground equipment. I obviously couldn't come back to work empty-handed, so I went crazy bought a new kit I'd promised myself I wouldn't buy, because I've just got no room for it! - Hint: it's big, black and Wellington-shaped...

All the best

Rowan
