Looking good Phil and very red :-) .
A matt coat should lessen the intensity of the red. Will you be post shading it as well.
Should look pretty cool once its finished.
Along with your Italian bi plane you will have a pretty colourful shelf going .

Looking great Phil.
Not much left to do now?
Is it the Revell kit?
Like Andy said,it'll certainly add a bit of colour to the display case.

Phil.
The " Red Barons" triplane was a very dark red. I know this because an old neighbour of mines grandad was there when he was shot down, and had cut a piece of fabric from the plane as a souvenier, and this had been passed down through the family over the years.
They have moved away now,so Im not in a position to photograph it for the site Im afraid.
Looking forward to seeing the pink peril finished

i gave the cowling a matt coat this morning and it tones the colour down quite a bit and makes it look more "cherry" red, but i think it looks totally cool in ferrari red! i'm still in two minds whether to matt it or leave it. it does look better in real life, and isnt a bad match for the colour in the artwork
hmmm....decisions,decisions
