Hello,
![](https://gallery.kitmaker.net/data/500/DSC03161.JPG)
Do you know what color this place has to be? Interior Green or which camo color used on?
Thanks in advance.

Granted, I've only seen restored aircraft of this type, but the ones I have seen have the base OD color applied to that area

Hi Serhan,
Almost all were painted with the exterior camo color, even both colors in a segmented pattern.

Either OD or whatever camouflage pattern was being used on a particular P-40;
US interior colours are well worth visiting.

Although on my P-40 I painted this area Interior Green, it does make more sense that it would be painted the exterior colour. The windows that fit there are held in place by 3 screws, it would be a lot easier to remove them then mask them. So external colour

For a P-40 that I was doing earlier this year I spoke to a couple of RAAF veterans to ask the same question and the response was that it was standard practice to remove the side windows and then paint, so external colors get my vote.
