Hi there
A late start at work today gave a chance for a sneaky trip to Hannants to stock up with essentials!
First off was Southern Front's new 1/48 scale LaGG-3.
This has been getting a fair bit of covereage on VVS sites and (despite a few concerns about outline accuracy) seems to to be getting a thumbs up. It's certainly good value for money - just £11.99!
If the LaGG-3 was a nice surprise, the next one made my eyes pop out!
Trumpeter's new quarter-scale Wyvern! It's got an outrageous set of features to put the Classic Airframes kit to shame - full weapons load, dropped flaps, folded-wing option and RATO packs... and - wait for it! - working contra-rotating props!
Look out for full reviews soon - Jean-Luc's hot on my heels with the LaGG!
All the best
Rowan

That Wyvern looks interesting, always like the looks of it.
Just wonder who will be the first to install a small motor to spin the props.

Hi Dave
According to the guys at Hannants, someone's already working on it - and the kit only went on their shelves today!
All the best

Wow, nice one Jean-Luc!
I didn't think to check for new stuff from Azur and Special Hobby etc., but I've probably spent enough for a while anyway!

That would be awesome! Or even if I wired up the Halifax... No! I won't go there! I just need to finish the darned thing! :-) :-)
