Hi Moosie fans:

I want to share this enormous quantity of pics of the Moosie HJ711.
Built at Hatfield in May 1943, NF.II HJ711 was issued to 169 Squadron (code VI) at Little Snoring in Norfolk where it achieved the squadron's first victory, Squadron Leader J. A. H. Cooper shooting down a Bf 110 near Berlin. Following only 3 months service with the RAF however, HJ711 was struck off charge and virtually scrapped.

One pic:

Rest of pics:

The site is very interesting for Moosie modelers and fans.

Thanks for the photos Carlos. The Mosquito is one of my all time favorite aircraft (my first ever model was the ancient 1:72 scale Mosquito VI - first released in the 1950s; I was inspired by C S Rawnsley's 'Nightfighter'.). It's good to see a Mosquito preserved in accurate wartime colours and markings.

The prototype Mosquito is preserved here, and amongst other exhibits is one of the Mosquitos flown in the film 633 Squadron.
