This is my latest posting, an Academy P-40E, a good kit, but as usual the decals seem to leave something to be desired.

Hey there, thanks for the compliment about my P-40E the Aleutian tiger. I've seen some of the photos of your work and like what I see. I especially like the P-38; looks like a good build. Take care. Russell

Hi Siderius.... Looks pretty darn good to me with the exception of the number decal (on both sides) on the tailfin, look like that they have started to silver. The nose art looks great and the canopy frames look clean and straight.
Nice looking build !!!!

This one looks great. The P 40 it´s one of my favorite planes, the shark mouth in P40 B looks excelent. I´m starting a P40 E now, it,s an old kit from Otaki.

Little I can find to critique except the exhaust stacks. It may just be the photo but they appear to slant upwards. The real ones had a slight downward slant. If they are reversed, it should be an easy fix.

I think it is the exhaust stacks themselves. They stick out too far either way. As for the rest of the model, good job. I built the exact same kit myself, and it happened to be a rather fun build. Just stay away from Academy's B/C model, it is older and of a more toylike quality.

Looks good. I do agree on the points raised concerning the Tail Numbers and exhaust stacks. But that is a minor pick and should not distract you from the fact that you have a fine lookin bird there.
