Hi there
I thought it might be fun to do our own little spoof on the British radio show. For those who don't know it, each week a guest has to choose the 12 records that they'd want to have with them if they were stranded on a desert island, plus one luxury (not a person - remember, this is a desert island!).
So, what's your list of 12 aircraft kits that you'd like to build (you don't have to already have them in your collection). Assume you're going to be stranded for some time - and, of course, you have a fully equipped solar-powered workshop with all the tools and paint you need!
Here's my list - it was hard work thinking what I'd have to leave behind, but I reckon I could spend many a happy hour in my open-air modelling den with these!
1. Accurate Miniatures 1/48 scale Grumman Avenger
2. Trumpeter 1/48 scale Vickers Wellington (with some replacement decals)
3. Revell 1/48 scale Dornier Do 217
4. Koster 1/48 scale PB4Y Privateer (with a Monogram B-24 donor-kit - OK, I cheated a bit there! :-))
5. Rest Models 1/48 scale Polikarpov R-5
6. Monogram 1/48 scale B-17G Fortress
7. Hasegawa 1/8 scale SE5-A
8. Planet Models 1/48 scale Koolhoven F.K.58
9. Tamiya Dornier Do 355A-12
10. Hasegawa 1/32 Fw 190F-8 (with Eagle Parts correction sets)
11. Hasegawa 1/32 Ju 87G (with Eduard's etched details)
12. Eduard 1/48 scale D.H.2 - with plenty of patience and rigging material!
My luxury - Potatoes!
All the best

By the way what are the odds on Mal answering this one with "11 spitfires and a messerschmitt (for the spits to shoot at........)" :-)

12 well that's a tuff one, I don't normally plan that far out
I guess I should start by taking the projects I've started but not finished :
1. MPC (airfix) C-47
2. Testors WACO CG-4A
3. MPC F-111 (Navy conversion)
4. Hobby Craft F4U (captured conversion)
5. ERTL Elefant and Panther (I know you said aircraft but it's an on-going project)
Future Stuff :
6. Minicraft C-54 "Skymaster" 1/144
7. AMT YB-49
8. AMT XB-35
9. MPC HE-177
10. Hasegawa AR-234 ( to go with #9 as a new project)
Assuming the Island is large enough:
11. Airfix Super Connie
and incase I need to leave in a hurry:
12 Hasegawa SP-5B Martin Marlin
All the kits are 1/72, of course, except for # 6 as noted.
I do get to take all my Preiser Figures right ?
Oh, and my Luxury --- Senta (inside joke)
P.S. We do get a wireless uplink so we can keep track of what's going on here too, right ?

Hi all!
Rather than writing a list, I decided to post a picture. Remember I'm french!
If we are on an island to kill time and assuming that space is not an issue, I choosed rather large kits: Do 24 T, He 177, Ju 52 etc...
I also choosed short run kits because I think they need much more work than mainstream ones! With the ones I choosed, I think I could be busy for a couple of years! :-)
they are all 1/48 scale except for one... try to find it!
My luxury would be the entire collection of Biggles books!
