Hi fellows:
I had started to build another 1/72 Airfix Mosquito. This time itŽs a NF Mk II.
The main building process is finished and also the treatment of the surface. All the seams desappeared. Next step will be the landin gears and after that IŽll start with the paint. IŽm planning to use Model Master Acrylic (black), after decaling IŽll give a try to Vallejo Acrylic Mate Coat.
I love this little kit. I was reading that Airfix is in serious problems and maybe it will be aout of the market, so I this week I went to the hobby shop and purchased 10 of these MoosieŽs.
Here are some pics. Coments and critiques will be much appreciated.

It looks nice (too bad the flash bleached out most of the model). I might buy one, too.
(By the way: you have the hands of a true modeller. Mine is full of cuts all the time, too )

Thank you Andras.
Yes, I have the hands of a true modeller always with some scratches and with rests of paint, putty, etc... but this time the scratches were made by this little monster

Hi, thanks Nigel.
Mosquitoes and Spitfires are the aircrafts that I like the most. I belive that for some time IŽll be building only MoosieŽs & Spits.
My MossieŽs stash is = 10 Airfix FB Mk VI & NF Mk XIX (1/72) - 3 Tamiya B Mk IV (1/72) - 1 Tamiya PR Mk IV (1/72) - 2 Tamiya BMk IV (1/48). Last week I bougjt the two sets of Eagle Strike decals (72075 & 72076).
Am I crazy ??? Through the years I begun to focus in some AC and I think that I finally discover what I want to do, lots of Spitfires & Mosquitoes
IŽll add a picture of all the Moosies together every time a new one is finished.

Thanks Andy:
By the way, does somebody knows how to weather the panel lines (ailerons & control surfaces) of an all mate black wooden aircraft ?
I finished the painting and little detail on the ailerons, control surf., fin & ruder can be seen.

Carlos
Use "scale black" for the main colour and black itself to do the panel lines.
See my Hurricane thread:)

Hi Lampie:
I read what youŽve done with your excellent Hurricane, but the thing is that I have alredy painted it with Humbrol matt black.
What do you think about weathering the lines with a mix of black & brown chalk powder applied with a thin brush prior to the Future ?

Hi Carlos
I wouldnt like to say Carlos,as its something Ive never tried and Ive got no idea how it would turn out.
I would definately Future the surface before trying anything. In fact,,try anything new on an old kit or a piece of plastic card with some grooves in it.

Ok, thanks Nigel.
IŽll give a coat of Future first of all. Something that I was thinking is to use a fine dark black permanent marker in the lines. Maybe IŽŽll obtain the necesary contrast between the lines and the overall black of the AC. IŽll give it a try.
