Here's something Spitfire fans will either love or hate! (I think we all know one who'll definitely fall into the latter category... LOL!) Personally, I think it looks really cool - so cool I ordered one of these conversions myself just the other day.

This looks like a great conversion set.
I didnt realise it came with decals as well,,,,very nice touch.
Shame its 1:48 though,,so I wont be ordering one just yet.
What a coincidence that this review is printed while a certain Spitfire fan is on holiday for a week with no internet connection :-) :-)

There is another, harder, way to produce this conversion. The same way the Gemans did it by mating the cowling of a Me110 and and fitting the prop from a Me 109G.
Although Scheidhauer was on a Rubarb over Normandy his Spitfire EN830/NX.X was actually shot down by flak over Trinity, Jersey on the 18th November 1943. On the 28th March 1944 the Germans shot Scheidhauer for his part in the mass escape from Stalag Luft 3.

What’s not to like Rowan, I agree I think it'll make a really cool little model. It will certainly be something different on the table at the next comp.
Cheers

Tempting indeed - I like the unusual and this would look great in a line-up of Spitfires.
Unreal aircraft has a page on this and also one about a
Daimler-Benz powered Hurricane.
The conversion set itself is high quality and should complement the Tamiya mouldings quite well. I think I'll have to...succumb.
