What scale is Quarter scale?

I was thinking it was 1/48 but looking at the kits in my stash the figures in my 2 Quarter scale kits are a completely deferent size then that in my 1/48 kit.

Hi Jacob!

I always thought "quarter scale" was 1/48! But I noticed there was a lot of differences between the size of some figures depending on the manufacturer. Tamiya figures are much smaller than Hecker & Goros ones for example. Sometimes the difference is very noticable!
Below is a picture taken while the build of my "Flattop" entry. You can see the figures have various sizes despite being all 1/48. But I think we can live with it as it is the same in real life. Some people are smaller and some people are bigger...

Sorry, but I didn't answered your question about "quarter scale"!

Hi Jacob:

In 1/48, 1/4 inch equals one scale foot.

Here you´ll find the explanation about using adjacent scales for scenery and kitbashing :

"Quarter Scale" is 1/48. As in all scales, different manufacturers have different ideas on how 1/48 should scale.

They just seemed so far off I didn’t think they could be the same but I guess they are.
