Gentlemen,

After some research, I am adding the 4 color and 5 color lozenge camouflage to the Gator's Paint Masks line up. I have a pretty good line drawing of both, but I need some idea of how the original fabric was applied and how the patteren was lined up. I have the 4 color partially digitized, and the 5 color is on tap next.

Hey Ken;

The layout was the strips were cut in sections that ran from leading to trailing edge. Sewn together at the factory edges. This was called chordwise. There were angle layouts as well, that were used for twoseater aircraft. The four colour did not show up until April - May 1918. The five colour came into use in later summer 1917. I have some drawings I e-mail to you. I'll send you a few other things I have been collecting for your amusment.
