Hi all,
This is my first proper model post on this forum, here's some pics of my latest - the 1/48 Eduard Albatros D.V. I painted her up in the colours of D.2236/17 of Jasta 3, flown by Vzfw Ludwig Weber. Here's some pics:
Minimal modifications were made. Modifications I made to the interior can be seen here:
http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26464
The only modifications I made to the exterior was to lengthen the noticably short main undercarriage legs. The horrible kit lozenge was replaced with Eagle Strike 5 colour (my lozenge of choice!) toned down with various oversprays. Rigging is fine elastic stretched between some wire turnbuckles (more specifically, 1/72 buckles made by "Bob's Buckles").
Overall I am happy enough with this build, it's not as great as the builds I have seen on here already but it allowed me to experiment with a few more techniques.
Many thanks also goes to Stephen Lawson for supplying me with some serial number decals!
All comments and critiques welcome!

Hi Brad
It’s easy to see why the Albatrosses are one of the most popular machines in this era. Just look at this build. I like the harmony of the paintjob. The dulled lozenge is just right in my eyes.
I’m sold. You very high score on this one.

Hi Brad!
You are joking by saying that!
I agree with what Lars said, it's a superb model with a superb paint job! Welcome to Aeroscale and I'm looking forward to see more of your work! It seems that after the full launch of the site the WW1 corner will be a great place!

Nicely done Brad!
For the serial #'s you are entirely welcome. I am glad they worked out so well. The paneling is a bit dark on the edges for my tastes. Next time try preshading? Normally I would not. I do find the overall look appealing in several respects. Also, the treatment of the u/c is nicely done. I have begun using the airfoil / extruded STRUTZ for these but your treatment is very nice indeed. I give it 5 stars.
Best Regards , Model On!

All i can say Brad is WOW, followed by a multitude of questions.
How did you achieve the wood effect ?
Did you pre-shade ?
How did you do the laminated propeller ?
What colours did you use for the over-spray ?
Sorry for all the questions but looking at your Albatros is inspiring me to tackle another W.W.1 plane .
