This is a 1/48 Scale Revell OOB model. Made this a while ago but had a go at basic weathering on this one. I have brushed it with Testor Dullcote which I think the brush lines can be seen in some of the photo's. I brushed it as I'm not sure whether dullcote can go through my airbrush and not block it up. Comments and advice very welcome.

Chris
If this is the Revell F14-D kit, it needs some corrections. OOB it's more or less a B which is a bit disappointing if you want to build a D!
Here's mine after correction.

I built this model some time ago and cna't remember the type it was built as. I know it was the Revell kit that came with Paints and glue ETC although Ididn't use these as they are pretty rubbish. I built it as per the instuctions for the version I liked the most with the decals provided. Having looked at your pics I can see a couple of difference in the parts and your paint job is much better. I was really after feedback on my attempt at weathering rather than the build itself as I know this was rushed like a lot of my old models. I am now trying to be more precise and I am using old models to practice my painting on. Thanks for the comments though.

Hi Chris.
The build looks nice and clean and your certainly going along the right lines with the weathering. Did you find the info you were looking for on washes?
I cant help you with the dullcote through an airbrush question Im afraid.
I use Humbrol varnish from a rattlecan myself.
Thanks for posting the pics and looking forward to seeing more soon:)
