Hello!
As a conclusion of a project started a long time ago, i decided that as it was my first luftwaffe machine, why not try to make a small base? never tried it before so .. i decided to give it a try, and if it sucked, i would lose nothing case, the maerials involved are, a piece of scrao wood, some clay from the backyard, and home made grass obtained from sisal fiber, and a lot of humbrol greens and browns.
This is an atempt to reproduce a very small section of Neustad- glewe airfield. green was on maintenance.
Dragon 1/48 FW TA 152 H-1
Hope you lke it, and shoot at will!!!
Regards from the Azorean Islands!
José Pires.

Hola, VERY good job José! You show the way, the more planes with nice bases the best it is!
My only remark would be that if it is just plain grass, the wheels would probably be more embeded in the ground -green grass like that is spring or early autumn which are humid seasons, with soft ground.
keep on the great work!

Awsome job José. Very clean build and good paint job.
I like very much the base. What is that sisal you used to simulate the grass ?
Congratulations.

Hello José
I also would like to express my respect for your great work!
Thats an a/c I also want to do one day and being stationed at Neustadt Glewe (which is just a few km south of my home town) is another fine reason to do it better sooner than later.
Thanks for that great inspiration!
best wishes
Steffen

Hello all, and thanks for the replies!
The sisal fiber is used to make natural string.
in Portugal, is common to find in hardware stores, or in the bricolage section of any supermarket.
It´s that natural fiber string that also comes with packages.
As soon as i can i´ll post a pic of it!
Thanks again!
