Hey guys. I'm picking up my Dr.1 today at my LHS. I'm doing the Dr.1 from the Blue Max. How was lozenge applied to the fuselage? Did it wrap from one side to the other?

Lozenge on a Dr.1 ???
Greetings, Nico
Hey Nico. Yep, lozenge on a Dr.1. A good friend of mine and I always challenge each other to for fun little competitions. Well, this time its WW1 aircraft. We both love the movie "The Blue Max". So, for my plane I'm doing Stachel's Dr.1. It was done in 5 color lozenge. I'm going to mask it off paint it. I was curious on how to wrap it around the fuselage.

The original engines for the Blue Max Fok.Dr.I were Siemans Halske 14cyl radial not rotaries. Mine were modified resin items.

Hey Stephen,
I just pulled out my Blue Max DVD and jumped to the first scene with the Dr.1s. I paused it long enough to get the 5 colors of Stachel's Dr.1. So, this weekend I start my build.
