Hi. Just wanted to post some more pics of the Skyraider build. Landing gear done, don't forget to paint the disc brake on the back of your wheels. The engine cowl almost done, ModelMaster chromesilver was applied to the outer edge. If any of the red paint that was applied to the edges of the gear doors went where I didn't want it to go, it was gently scraped away with a brand new #11 blade. Decal stage will start late Saturday night, thanks for looking, Wingman out.

Very, very nice how did you mask to paint the metal leading edge of the cowl? What colour did you use for the enging reduction gear housing? it looks great.

Thanks for the kind comments guys. Mal, I masked the engine cowl with a strip of Tamiya masking tape[wonderful stuff] that was cut to about a 1/16 of an inch. The narrower your tape is the easier it is to conform to curves, I went by eye to get the area even all the way around for the natural metal area. The reduction housing was painted with Anthracitgrau[RAL #7016], thanks for looking everyone, Wingman out.

Howdy wingman!

Oops! I almost missed this thread As I've said before, I am really liking your build there pard'. Your struts look great and so life-like I started looking for leaking oil streaks!
And you say you taped that cowling by eye?........geez, nice "eye" bud.

Keep up the good work!!

Tread.
