Hi all

Rather belatedly, I've realised just how badly effected the Aeroscale reviews have been by a glitch that Staff_Jim reported over on Armorama. Basically, all but the most recent Aircraft reviews have been re-classified as Armour (Hiss! Boo! :-)), with the result that they don't appear directly on our review lists anymore. It's not the end of the world - for one thing the problem should, hopefully, only be a temporary one - and there is a work-around; click on the "jump to MFG/Vendor" window - all the reviews are still there, it's just that everything - Ships, Figures and Aircraft are all listed as Armour.

All the best

Hi Jan

Ohh, how I wish! :-) Unfortunately, the way things are configured, neither Chuck, Jean-Luc nor I can help Jim edit the stray reviews to bring them back onto Aeroscale (at least at the moment...)

I noticed that a couple of days ago while looking for an old review, took ages to track it down. We shall leave it all in Jim's capable hands to fix the glitch .

Oh wow! Thank heavens they couldn't spell "grip" correctly... OOOPS!

As picturesque as Steffen's response to the database problem undoubtedly is - and who am I to censor a valid attempt to lift our collective spirits in the midst of a technical crisis? - Let's NOT try to out-do it! PLEASE!

Cheers

Hi Rowan

this is not about xxx but about a disk operating system .. Linux, precisely Mandrake. root is the poweruser and grep is a very powerful command especially when used with pipe :-) :-)

If you feel it is too exciting for modellers ... I'll replace the pic

e.g. with this one:

which I find even more exciting ... where can I apply

cheers

Steffen

Hi Steffen

If we're talking childhood dreams...

How about a Spitfire factory on your doorstep? (Airframe Assemblies on the Isle of Wight) - just don't tell Mal!

I guess that what comes of trying to post a boring technical alert on a Saturday night! :-) It's definitely got to be our most-read database problem post ever...

All the best
