heres an update on the triplane i'm building that i painted bright ferrari red! after a matt coat it toned down to a nice rich dull red, which i'm guessing is more appropriate (but i still think the ferrari red looked cool!) i've got the rigging done, not too much on one of these, and it just needs a final detail paint (propeller boss, tail skid, tyres) and i can call it finished.
......i know rowan, get the review sent in then!

i just painted the lighter base colour on, then i used a fantastic tamiya brush-item 87017, to paint the stripes/grain freehand. i also use this brush to paint canopy glazing because the bristles are shaped like a sword broad ways on you can paint a line about 3mm, edge ways on it will paint a line only 1 mm thick. i did all the orange lines on my last loco with it too

..nice..what's the kit ....?

looking through my refs I was under the impresion that 425/17 had a white tail...? perhaps not when delivered though ....spot on...
have just purchased the Roden 32nd scale DR.1, equipped myself with the Eduard etch ..I might just have a go at the old Revell 28th scale Dr. 1 to get my hand in first ...also finished the SMER 48th Dr.1 in Baumer's markings recently..
