Hey! Good start. What i really liked was the alligator clips on the end of the paintbrush. That's what i need to do for my ordinance.

Thanks Jan & Jim,
Actually those clips come in really handy for alot of things. The only thing you have to watch for is not to leave them on for too long, otherwise they end up making impressions into the plastic.
I hope to make some progress over this weekend.
Thanks again for the kind words.

Hi Ted. Looks good, I like the look of your cockpit. I see yours will be loaded for bear like the one I'm building. I'm building Tamiya's A1H. You can see some of the pics in my gallery. I'll finish up the decals this weekend, looking forward to seeing yours done, Wingman out.

The Skyraider is one of my favourite planes. Can't wait to see the finished product. Looks great so far.
If in doubt get as much lead down the range as possible.

Thank you both for the kind words, Chris and mwolf.
mwolf, I had a look in at your Raider...............looks great. I am looking forward to seeing yours complete as well. I am painting mine with the 3 color scheme, I have the first base color done, and now comes the masking for the other 2 colors. I may be another couple of weeks to get mine completed.

Ted excellent work so far on an amazing kit. The photo of the front office is a tad blurry but from what I can see everything looks great, please keep the updates coming.

Thanks for the kind words Darren,
I will be posting more pics after I get the camo applied. The 3 color scheme is a challenge to mask, hopefully it will come out alright.

Well its finally finshed.
I have to say this was the most enjoyable kit to build.
I used a mixture of Tamiya acylics, and MM enamels , with a wash of burnt umber in the wheel wells and the same some the panels line post shading that I finally had the nerve to do. The exhaust staining was done with Tamiya smoke. The final stage was Testors dull coat, which came out very nicely, on this attampt it actually dulled evrything down very nicely.
Anyway I hope you like it.
As always, all comments are welcome.

Hi Ted. Good job. I like the look with the red and white stripes on the prop tips. It looks like it's ready for bear. Pics look good too, Wingman out.

Thanks Wingman,
I liked the look of those prop baldes as well, something different from the standard yellow tips on most A/C.
Those are actually decals from the kit, they came out better than I had expected.
I am glad you like my build.

Amazing job. I love it. The paint job is brilliant and the weathering looks good to me. Well Done.

Thanks for the cudos Chris.
This was a great kit to build.
Jan,
I have another "Raider" in my stash, it is the Monogram kit. I haven't thought about opening it up, but your idea for the markings is a great idea. I have an Bf-110 and a Corsair on my bench right now, so it wouldn't be for a while.

Thanks Jan,
Although if the Revel offering that I have in my stash is anything like the Bf-110 that I am currently working on, I may just throw it in the "round" file. I have never used so much filler.................and the wing to the fuslage is a nightmare. Hopefully it comes out alright though.
I think I have now been spoiled by "Tamiya".
