When the code words "Broken Arrow" went out at LZ X-RAY, did F-105 Thunderchiefs respond along with other aircraft?

Thanks!!!!

The book only mentions that F-100s as well as A-1 Skyraiders (and Huey Gunships) responded to LZ X-Ray. However, "Broken Arrow" diverts ANY available aircraft, so this isn't to say that the F-105 wasn't in the area, just not mentioned.

At LZ Albany, only the Skyraider so far. (I'm still reading.)

Broken Arrow? Doesn't that denote a downed aircraft with nuclear weapons?

Story takes place In Vietnam?

The US had Nuclear armed aircraft flying over Nam?

During the Vietnam War, the term "Broken Arrow" meant that a US or Allied ground unit was in danger of being over run.
