A couple of models appropriate to the 'Cold War', from an era when the RNZAF operated De Havilland Canada DHC 2 Beaver and DHC 3 Otters in Antarctica.

ZK-CKH owned by New Zealand Warbirds, Ardmore as NZ6001 - the orange is far too red

John Harrison (IPMS Dunedin) 1:72 scale Airfix Beaver. All the decals were printed by John.

RNZAF Otter; John Harrison 1:72 Hobbycraft - still under construction.

Hi Jeff

Cool! How does the Hobbycraft Otter build-up? I must admit (shock, horror) it's a kit I've never seen in a build before

All the best

Gidday Rowen and Jan,
John had a lot of 'fun' with the Hobbycraft Otter, but, as you can see, the results are excellent. He's also built the Airfix Auster AOP 5(?) and, with extensive work, has converted it to yet another of the RNZAF's Antarctic aircraft , a Mk T.7, NZ1707.
