Here is two pics of my Mirage III in 1/48, it is the Royal Class boxing.
I found out that the aircraft I want to build had the Atar 9C engine and not the 9B that is in the box. For this I have modified the engine with a Hasegawa F-104 outlet that I slightly reshaped and done some surgery to the rear airframe. I have shorted the fuselage and used plastic sheet to reshape the upper part.
My opinion on the model is that it is good but far from perfect. First of all the fuselage is to tight and need rods to widen the body. The fuselage-wing joint is a nightmare that needs a lot of preperation but leaves huge steps that needs a lot of filler. There am I at the moment.
Wish me luck to go past the filler swamp

Hi Tobbe
even if the pix are a little small to see details I think you have done a great job!
My Mirage IIIC rests in the box because I --- oh wonder --- missed the right gluing point for the nose weight and thus have a gap there .. nothing too serious but I put it back in the box, as it was a bad start for such a huge project ... keep us updated, maybe I choose to look for it in the stash
cheers

Good Luck on Your Project !!! It looks like it is coming out good, hopefully you can make it work ,it is a beautiful subject.
For my money it was one of the worst kits I ever attempted,it looked great in the box with all the deacls and PE.I was going to build a South African Bird but I just got too frustrated.I will be looking foward to hear of your progress, perhaps I can learn somethingof the problems I had.
I wish Tamiya or Hasegawa would do it in 1/48
Thanks
