A hopefully quick question: What would be a good first vac-form kit to try out my hand in the medium? I currently have the old MPM Do 17 M and Si 204 in my to do pile, as well as a Sanger Short Stirling on the way, but any other kit suggestion would be welcome as well.

BTW, I primarily model 1/48th scale WWII, but am willing to consider any subject.

Thanks!

Hi David

the Dynavector vacu kit sall be very nice (I have never built one) also Koster kits

Make sure you check out Swanny's models He has build some vacus ... and he actually is about to buld a Siebel 204

For a start maybe try a conversion first: Do 217 M

Very intersting are his Fw 58 Weihe(MPM) and Fw 200 Condor(Koster)

hth a little

cheers

Hi David

I wouldn't tackle the bombers as your first vacuforms (although MPM's vacuforms are very nice - I've built several and have their Fw 58 Weihe half-built somewhere). Why not try something smaller and simpler? Sierra Scale Models' PT-19 Cornell is a nice straightforward kit. Also their Bereznyak-Ishaev B1 rocket fighter.

All the best

Rowan

Actually a Great recommendation. If you've not worked with Vac-u-Form kits before try a conversion first and keep your expectations fairly low. Learn from the experience.
