Hello Tuomas !

That is great job you have done. Would you please describe how you have done chipping?

Hi Tuomas!

Great job! I would also know how you did the chipping and if the kit came with a resin cockpit...

I see you are using PE parts for your next project. That's nice!:)

Hello Toumas:

Wow, your P-40 looks really good. I admire your COURAGE adding the
weathering washes and chipping of paint on the model as well.
Sometimes it isn't easy to take a good model you've put a lot of work and
time into and then run the risk of failure covering it with washes, paint
chipping, etc. Modelers don't have to take those kind of chances with "a
just off the factory assembly line" fresh paint scheme.

My guess is that altho you're young in age, you've been doing aircraft
modeling for some time. Very nice work and good pictures too.

Would you have time to say what kind of paint you used; i.e. enamels or
acrylics. . . and then whether the washes were acrylic, oils or enamels
thinned with solvent?

Thanks for kind comments.

Chipping: Paint metal primer, i used Humbrol. Then paint the main colors. Chip with masking tape. Put little piece where you want, and take it away with fast move. It's not take always color off, but take time with it, it's funny! https://aeroscale.kitmaker.net/forums/86079#712889
Here is good tips!

Yep, there is resin cockpit. In P-40 was lots of PE parts, and some so little... :-)

Painted with airbrush and acrylics. Some enamels used too. Weathering i made with pigments. I tried to wash the panel lines, but don't handle it so well...

It's funny try new things in modelling, if it's not go well in first time, just try again! This is not so seriously. :-)

Cheers

Tuomas
