Has anyone built the AH-60 from MRC? I saw the ad for it on the back of this month's FSM.
Does anyone have any commits about it?

Has anyone here actually finished an Academy Blackhawk..??
The Blackhawk model is big, sexy and detailed, but I find the engineering and sequence of assembly incredibly poor in comparison to other modern kits.
My blackhawk is still unfinished.. I haven't gotten enough time to hang the seats, glue the roof, fit the interior, and button up the fuselage all in one sitting lately.
From previous experiencee with Academy Helos ( Huey and Kiowa) I find if I don't do all those steps in one sitting, something will be misalligned ( Academy does NOT have the most positive , lock into place, fit!) and the whole thing will need to be pulled apart.
Even the rear cabin wall with 2x plugs has a lot of slop to it and this only gets worse as you add the roof. There isn't a positive lock fit of the roof to the doorframes, and I'd hate to get this glued in place and find later that it was going to interfere with the fit later.
I've held off on the Pave Hawk (another kit with great promise) for this very reason and will probably pass on this kit too.
sorry, had to vent.
Mike

The main thing I am waiting for in this kit is all the stuff on the nose. I all ready started another Black Hawk, converting it into a SOAR bird. Luckely I havnt closed the fuselage together and I have the cabin/cockpit just sitting there. I scratched built the fast rope harneses on the ceiling and I am using the Eduards interior and exterior photo etch sets.

Academy's site listed the DAP as a new release. It's available for pre-order at HobbyLink Japan. It should be released this month. Price will be around 50 USD.
