Hi all!
This is a model of Heinemann´s Hot Rod, a A-4B Skyhawk.
The kit is the Hasegawa 1/48, and this is the second scooter I built.
Just can´t resist this little tough fighter!
A pic of the cockpit;
Before joining the fuselage, this kit requires quite a lot of weight in the nose!
Fuselage and wings joined, it´s a really good fit but some seams needs filler and sanding.
Basic colors in gull grey and white done.
Decalling is my favourite moment when i build a kit, this was no exception.
All decals worked fine on a glossy surface with some micro-set and -sol.
There´s a LOT of decals on these kits, so it took three sessions during a week to get it done.
The VA-72 "Blue Hawks" was the first sqn. to reequip to the Skyhawk when it entered the service.
Cheers!
Stefan E

Hi there Stefan,
Your Skyhawk looks great, the instrument panel especially.

Hi All!
Thanks, glad you liked her!
Hi Lee!
Nope, no etched parts here!
I planned to do this Scooter with a very clean apperance, so cockpit would be closed, and the airbrakes as well.
Everything in the cockpit (and the whole build) is straight out of the box, nothing added!
I used the decal instrument panel as it came with the kit.
It fitted perfectly over the raised details and snuggled down very tightly with micro-sol.
Everything else in the cockpit is stock parts carefully painted!
Only thing I will add in my next scooter builds (I still have the -C, three E/F´s, and the -L in the stash!) Is a resin "bang-seat".
Cheers!

Hi All!
My little Scooter is finished!
As this is the CAG-bird, I have been very careful with any weathering.
I wanted a "brand new look" as the VA-72 "Bluehawks" were the first sqn. that recieved the A-4B when it went into active service.
Here she is;
Apperantly, the CAG have already played with the cannons!
This was my second Scooter in the Hasegawa-series and a very enjoyable build.
There´s more Scooters in my stash! :-)
Cheers!
