Hi guys I would love to motorize my Academy 1/35 scale UH-60 L. I was wondering if anyone had experience in doing this or could recommend motors that I could use to make the Main and rear rotor spin, thanks

The main rotor isn't too difficult using a small motor from a motorized toy or a pager motor and a couple gears. Check out the motorized V-22 Osprey in the latest Fine Scale Modeler magazine for tips. The tail rotor is an issue since there isn't a lot of clearance in the tail for a rotor shaft, motor, or gears. I did it a long time ago on an AH-1G. I used a circular disk with blurred rotors painted onto it to represent the tail rotor.

Personally, I don't think it needs to be motorized since a photo will freeze the rotors anyways. Check out some pics to see what I mean.
