Looking for some direction here. I once heard someone mention that a good way to simulate the exposed wood of WWI aircraft was to finish off with a thin coat of "clear orange". However, I was never quite sure what this "clear orange" liquid was. Does anyone have a clue what this might be? Not much to go on, I agree, but I'm hoping someone might have an idea what I'm talking about.

Thanks very much.

Mike

Greetings Mike;

Tamiya has several translucent paints, smoke and orange are just a few. The idea is to "varnish" the finished propeller with an orange tint. To mind this is not entirely accurate. Though I do like to varnish my painted propellers ( painted laminations) I use Testors 1166 ( available in the small bottles) it is more an orange brown.
