Derek, thanks for posting that clip it's a beauty isn't it and always worth seeing one more time.
I have watched that clip many times now and if you watch in the background as the Spit approaches it must only be a prop width above ground.

I have had this for a while.
The late Ray Hanna at his finest, :-)
I emailed it to a friend in the states and it turns out he knows the "reporter",,who is actually a racing driver.
If you turn the volume right up Im sure you can hear Ray Hanna laughing
RIP Ray.

Glad you all enjoyed it!
I have had it for a while too. When the weather is good I do the RC thing and found this gem on that RC groups site. One amazing thing is the ground effect wind blowing the grass. The naughty language left me visibly shaken though. :-)

Yeah shocked me too,,,I was expecting something along the lines of " my oh my,,that gentleman flys very low indeed,,my hair has been ruffled it was so close,,could anyone make me a nice cup of tea to clam my nerves somewhat" :-) :-)
Yeah right!! :-)
Think i'll watch it again, always gives me a laugh.

That's a good link Derek.
Down here in the south of New Zealand many of us witnessed both the late Ray Hannah and his son Mark wringing out Spitfires, 109s, Yaks etc during the Wanaka airshows.

Both Ray and Mark are sadly missed.
