This is a Hasegawa, 1/48 F4U-7 Corsair, in French markings. I built it for the Suez campaign.
A very nice model, but I had to get my dad to help me with some parts as it was a bit complicated in places and i couldn't quite work out where some parts went.
My build thread can be found on the British Bulldogs site here
Hope you like it.

Hi Courtney!

That's a superb looking F4U-7 in French "Suez" markings! You even managed to give a weathered look to the aircraft... quite impressive!

I see you didn't wanted to touch the seam line on the canopy. Maybe it's better to leave it as it is if you don't feel comfortable sanding clear plastic parts. But you should try with a spare canopy. You can use very fine sanding paper, Tamiya polishing compound or... toothpaste!

Anyway, that's a great job and I'm looking forward to see your next model!

Very cool model. The weathering looks cool.

Are the Suez campaign markings (Black/yellow stripes) painted or decals?

Hi everyone,
Thank you everyone for your kind words and comments.

Jesper, the black/yellow stripes are decals. It was probably easier to apply the the decals rather than painting them .

Myself and my Dad both see the seam line on the canopy and both felt that as we have never removed one before on a clear part, and not having a spare canopy, we left it as we didn't want to mess it up.
Thanks for the advice about the toothpaste, next time I'll try that out.
