The most number of 3rd choice votes went to akhilleus (SBD-5 Dauntless) with 6 (6 points).

27 members cast their votes, 6 less than last month, the turnout was only 16 again, 5 more than last month and the preceeding 2 months and only 3 away from the record of 19. No ladies again this time but we live in hope for the coming months, well done to everyone who entered.

Rest assured there were no bad models here so please don't be put off with entering again and remember you can enter a model up to 3 times. Well done all those that entered and thanks for the votes.

It was a very close run thing taking a few votes before the favourites started to emerge, then they started to pull away and it went right to the wire with 1st place changing hands, between the eventual top 3, several times.
The results, well done all:

1st gregax (He 219) 35 points Winner of a Harricature of an He 219 and a Revell Sopwith Camel, donated by last months winner, Lampie (Nige).

2nd betheyn (Albatros D.III) 34 points.

3rd akhilleus (SBD-5 Dauntless) 30 points.

Yes it was close. I have a voting card set up using excel so I only have to increase the amount, in each column, for each modeller, when a vote is cast. It told a story when all I was having to do for the first few votes was to put in "1". In other words lots of different modellers were getting votes, when usually there are pretty clear favourites from the word go.

Harri's pretty pleased with the result, he likes the He 219 Congrats gregax, I hope you have more where that came from.

It was again nice to see a WW 1 subject doing well. I would particularly like to congratulate betheyn (Andy Brazier) as he enters every month and his photography doesn't do his models justice. However this time he showed what he can do. Nice one Andy, no excuses now

With 2 newcomers in the top 3, gregax and akhilleus and with the likes of TedMamere getting 8 (or was that because it was another 109? ) you know that the stakes are getting higher

Yes wayne, a good question which I have been forced to think about prior to this. Thankfully it hasn't been needed but I'll answer your question to put it on record.

If there is a tie for any placings then the number of first votes will be taken into account. The modeller with the most first place votes will be declared the winner. If they are equal then the second place votes will determin the outcome. It shouldn't ever require the third place votes because that would mean that the voting was exactly the same for each modeller. If that should ever happen then we will have 2 entries winning. The same will apply for any of the placings.
I hope that is clear

Congratulations to everyone who entered.
