Hi guys, I havn't posted recently, but I've finally managed to finish a model! This is Hasegawa's 1/32 D-9 built out of the box. This is my first freehand airbrush paint job, and probably the most fun I've had building a model. It's painted with a mix of Aero master and Tamiya acrylics. I had some dificulties with the aero master paints, as they kept clogging the airbrush. I also just discovered that my local hobby shop stocks Humbrol flat cote, so I also used that: great stuff! As far as weathering goes, I gave the panel lines an oil wash. I'm not sure whether the dapple paint job is entirely accurate, as I really just wanted to produce something that looked nice. :-)
The first model I posted up here was a 1/32 Fw-190. I think this is a bit of an improvement but I still need to go a long way to match some of the awesome stuff I see posted here.

This is definately a 'buy another one' kit.
Cheers. I'm definitely interested in building another one of these. I need to build a 1/32 109 E7 and a 262 first though! The camo schemes really do it for me.

Hi Grant:
The bird looks fantastic. In my opinion some weathering and enhacing the panel lines would add more realism. It looks very clean as factorie new. Good job
