Hi all:
Searching the web I found these fantastic images of the Supermarine S6B. This aircraft was built to win the Schneider Cup Trophy. In 1931, the S6B won the final trophy race with a blistering 340 mph record run. The designer R. J. Mitchell later flew this machine past the 400 mph barrier, the first aircraft to do so. Mitchell incorporated lessons learned with the S6B when disigning the Spitfire. Hope you like them
