G'day all, I finally finished my Fokker V.23 project.
There was only ever one prototype produced and submitted by Fokker as an entry in one of the fighter comps in 1918 along with what the V23's performance was not particularly outstanding. It's Fokker lineage is obvious, almost being a mix of a modified D.VII fusealge with mid-fuselage mounted D.VIII wings...
The model is a combination of the Omega resin Fokker V.23 (wings mainly), a spare modified Eduard Fok D.VII fuselage plus a myriad of components from a Roden 1/48 Fok D.VII (engine compartment, undercarriage, tail surfaces, cockpit components etc...). The other details are from the spares box or scratch built. Lozenge is Eagle Strike 4-colour.
Progress pics can be found here
Weathering was kept to a relative minimum (for me anyways!!). Here's some pics:
This was a fun little project, let me know what you all think, good, bad otherwise.
