Hi all,

I am new here in the aeroplane part of this web site so please bear with me if this has been asked before.

I have seen a colorplate of the SM 79 with german markings in a dark grey or black color. Can anyone confirm if this was an actual plane that looked like this or if it´s a hoax?? I was thinking of buying the Trumpeter kit 1/48 and no way will I try the italian mottling sceme suggested.

A link or a hint in the right direction would be much appreciated.

Best regards
Morten

Howdy,

I can't really answer your Q, but you'll like this Sm-79b Torpedo Bomber in Action

Hi Fred and Antoni,

Thanks for the info - had the decals already found but never seen that movie clip before. Very interesting.

Thank you very much for your input.

Best regards
Morten

Hej Morten

Try the wingspalette tread. They have the colour scheme you are asking for.

German SM79

Really an attractive scheme....
