ok, so I got back into modeling after about a 1 year break, and I've stumbled across my second problem (the first was a nasty fingerprint).
I am painting the cockpit of my F-16 right now, so I dutifully painted the whole thing light gray and when I went in with a fine point sharpie to pick out the individual panels, it didn't work out.
I am afraid to do it with a brush becase I get really shakey when I'm doing ticklish business.
any tips?
shanks much!

If there are definate raised areas and lines for each piece, use a fine brush and diluted paint to flow a wash into the area.

I have had good success dry brushing the raised areas. I use an angular 1/8 " brush. Dip it in the paint and then wipe most of it off. Lightly drag the brush across the raised area. Usually it takes several applications to build enough color.
