Hi Doug
The first test shots had many problems, but Dragon e-mailed me last week with word that fresh ones are being produced so we'll soon see how well the kit is progressing.
All the best

Hi
Found these pics, don´t know if it a testshot or`?
http://www.eagle-editions.com/dragonp-51.htm
but in my eyes it´s still overtakes that old Hasegawa. There is already a spot on the shelf for this kit in my workshop.

Here in Australia we are getting the P-51 with Aussie markings. Post WW2 I think. Around 1947 from memory.

Decals,Decals
i already have ALP decals for mine. Swedish markings with a nice black horsehead as personal marking.
But decals would not be any problems i think.
Lars Q
ps
Revell will rerelease the old P-51 B. it´s not a good one but still a B model

Hi All
Phantom 2 (Stefan) and I got the kit yesterday and I say we got a real good kit for the money I’ll never seen the perfect kit (Having started up the 32-scale P-38 from Trumpeter),but this is a good one in my eyes. So that’s what putting models together is all about.
Free from work today i´ve took a real good check out in the box and I’m really satisfied with the kit As I said before I’ll be my own judge, I don’t see any big trouble, correcting some few thing on this one.
The cockpit floor that Jean-Luc showed us in his pics is easy to correct with some plasticard and the “frosted” surface is no hard fix. Gentle wetsanding the surface and a polish with a nailpolisher to bring up the shine. Then you have a nice surface to start spraying that Alclad colours. This sanding is just the usual prepjob before paint in my world anyway
The rivets in the wing rots is redone with MDC;s rivet tool, that’s 2 minutes of work mates.
Next is the position lights to fix, I´ve gonna make some homemade lenses for this. More of that another time
Let’s build some Mustangs,
Cheers

Hi Lars!
Those replacement wheels are a good idea! I just completed the landing gear assembly and found out the vinyl tyres are a little oversized...

Progress, progress
I’ll have started up the work in the office and here are some pics of the progress. I´ve learned that Eduards etch don’t fit into to the office that good, so it will some real work on the instrument panel especially .
until next time

So is this a rebox of the Dragon kit?
I've built two, well finishing up the second one.
