Is the model that bad?

Absolutely to the contrary!! Beautiful bird!!
The one that makes me shy away from WWI birds is the use of the different materials used way back then. It isn't an easy task to make a model look like doped material, with a wooden frame. Which is superbly done.
Then there is the other question of rigging... The main problem as I see it is it seems so easily done... Hats of to Lars for pulling this off so well!

A well built model is just that. When you see one that is impressive it is a direct relation to the builder and their skills. Often times when judging it usually comes down to "whats not wrong with a build." One other concern is the time involved in the build. Even the basic single seat kit can take upto 30 hours to finish if you cover all the bases. Lars seems to have a method to his work. To find something wrong or out of place was tough. Nicely done Lars!

Thank you for these nice words. The method is just to get it going forward. On this one I´ve had no problems as with the Dh-2. On that build I had to repaint all Pc10.
No secrets, just get a nice kit and do your best. And if you starting with an Eduard you always get a fine result.
Still waiting for the postman to deliver somthing
cheers
Lars
