Just a wee quick question for the folks in the know here at the forum....
Has it ever been a Dornier Do 217 K-2/M-11/J/N-1 or N-2 done in 1/48? If not, is there any conversions?
Cheers fellas!

As far as I know the Koster conversions are still available. Greatmodels.com still lists the Koster kits and conversions on their site. I purchased the N conversion set from them a couple years ago with no issues. No, I haven't started it yet, but in the box it looks very good. For me it will be a good thing to try to get my feet wet with vac form.

I've been told you can also purchase Koster items directly from Bill Koster as well, but he doesn't have a web site. Unfortunately, I do not have his email address, or I would let you have it. He has been known to check out the Plane Talking forum over at Hyperscale.com, and someone there can most likely supply his email address if you would like to go that route.

The old MPM vac kits of the Do217's are also pretty good if you can find them. They turn up from time to time at shows and swap meets.

Good luck on your quest.

Regards,
David

Hi Jan, Well you may be happy to hear that there is a "new" 1/48 Do 217N-2 resin conversion coming out this coming year by Mike West of Lone Star Models.
Please note that the Koster Vac kit is for an N-1 and not an N-2.
The conversion will be very comprehensive and includes all parts including interior to make a very nice 1/48 Do 217N-2.
I had posted this early on here on this site...Just type in Do217N-2 in the search bar and you will find my post on the conversion.
Please feel free to contact me at [email protected]
My best to you,
Mike Powlen
