Hi all!

The title says It all, this Is my Tamiya 1/48 Meteor F.I.

This was the very last kit I finished in 2006, got It done late New years Eve!

SWMBO ( :-)8 ) Wasn´t too happy to see me sneak off to the bench, but I returned in good time for the new Year! :-) :-) :-)

This was a very nice and easy kit to build, Typical Tamiya fare!

Now I´m looking forward to see what 2007 brings!

Cheers!

Hi Stefan:

It realy looks very good. I like it.
Is this the old kit and you ripped off the airbrakes in the wings or it´s the new tooling kit ?
I have the old one in my stash and one some day I´ll put my hands on it.

Looks great Stefan.
Is there any problems to look out for during the build. I keep meaning to start mine .

Hi Carlos and Andy!

This was/Is the new Issue with the corrected wings with no airbrakes.

If you get the kit with the Meteor and the Fiesler V1 flying bomb (as I did), you´ll get the new wing.

This kit was an absolute joy to build (and so was the V1), no problems whatsoever.
I didn´t use any filler and very little sanding were needed.

Just take some care with the wingroot/fillets assembly, can be a bit tricky to get the parts lined up.

The supplied nose weight is sufficient to keep the model on the nose wheel, but just barely!
I would try to get some more weight in the nose to be on the safe side.

I used the kit decals, they worked perfectly with Micro-set and -sol, snuggled down nicley and looks painted on when dry.

Good luck and have fun with your kit!

Cheers!
