Here's 5 months of work (1:48 Hasegawa's AH-64D Out of the Box, no special parts unfortunately)
*Note: I need to get that decal solvent thing. What's it called again? and can someone give me a picture of the bottle? I'm sure my local hobby store has it but I don't know what to look for and those people aren't that much into modeling. Thnks!

This is my first model that I used weathering/wash; don't know which is the correct term, sorry.
**I also screwed up big time on the cockpit...darn
***I took indoor pics because the weather in Houston right now is brutal. Comments and Critiques plz

Now that is some wierd weather.

I'd say your model is pretty good. I would suggest working on your clean up skills, and go a little easier on the glue. Before applying decals, try applying a gloss coat down first. Future floorwax works great for this. Also, I just picked up my first bottle of decal solvent, and I don't know what I ever did without it. It makes decals snuggle down very well, and really makes the model look nice. I like your weathering alot too, though I would tone down the grease on the panel lines. Also, I don't kow much about helicopters, but I think a coat of clear flat would make the model blend together very well. Just be sure to mask off the canopy!

Christopher.

It's a real shame about the decal silvering - the stuff you require is Micro sol and micro set

A little advise - if you could post photos no bigger than 800*600 pixels they are easier to look at.

Hope the strange weather passes soon

I would agree. Nice build, but the silvering of the decals is what caught my eye right off.

Sorry guys but weather's still not letting me photoshoot outside, but I'll resize the images. Freak weather these days...haven't seen this much ice here for about 10 years

Hey Andy, can you show me a different picture if possible? all I can see is the cap of the bottle, which is awkward. I think I know what to look for now, but I'm still not sure. Thanks

Looks pretty good. I also concur on the decal method. Gloss cote, decal with set and solvent, and then dullcote when dry. The decals really detract from a pretty good build. Keep up the good work and you will get it.

Good luck with the crappy weather there. We had a few bad ice storms when I was at Ft Hood, near Austin, a few years back as well. It does get messy and no one knows how to drive in it. Nuts!!!

Nice looking indian Solve the issue with the decals and you can improve the helikopter a lot. Anyway, as long as you are reasonably happy with the result and had fun building you reached your goal.

It is some crazy weather this Winter. In Latvia there is normally lots of snow from November til March. This year the temperature almost never goes below 0 degrees.
In Denmark the month of December was the hottest December since they started measuring the temperature.
