Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has had any experience making engine intake covers for jet aircraft, i have tammy 1/32 F-15C on the bench and would like to make some for it.
My next questions is how would i go about staining the exhausts on the jet, i have seen many photos that show very distinctive stain patterns from the burners.

Hey Pete,
What I did for my Phantom can was using various Testors metallizer paints. Then I cleared it will Future Floor Wax followed by a black oil wash and a lighten dry brush of stainless steel. Then airbrushed thin lines using burnt metal metallizer and Tamiya’s smoke followed by a dull coat.
As for the FOD covers, I’d say use some .20mm evergreen plastic, cut to size and bend and shape. Shouldn’t have problems as they are squared.
