This is my entry for the first AMQ
It is the Tamiya 1/48th P-47D Bubbletop modeled after the 'Georgia Peach II' flown by 1LT Edward Powell in the 510th FS. Original nose art was painted by Lynn Trank.
This was my first attempt for a NMF using Alclad II polished aluminum and regular aluminum along with D-Day invasion stripes.
The decals are Eaglestrike 'American Jabos, Pt VI' and Eduard PE details were using in the cockpit and exterior of the jug. The antennae was made using fly tying thread.
