Please see my link to 2 new photos, now that construction is almost complete.

I have almost finished weathering panel lines, as my preshading wasn't strong enough in grey (will probably use black next time)

The kit wasn't the easiest to build, but is worth it with enough patience, esp the ring root joints, and dihedral lined up with the elevators. I only wish the kit came with more cockpit detail.

Cheers, esp to Holdfast

Once this kit is done, I'm planning on starting Tamiyas Do 335 - should be a bit easier!
Cheers Patrick

Looking good Patrick

I haven't actually made any progress on my Mistel as I have been getting ready for and attending a model show with Kitmakers very own IPMS-UK branch. Take a look IPMS-UK Kitmaker at Modelkraft 2007
I'm hoping to get some work done this week end. When I have my photographic rig back in commission I'll post some pics
Looking forward to seeing the Do-335

Hi LuftNUT,

Looks like a well done Ju 88. Personally, I think your panel line shading is correct!

Ju 88 A-1 - exhaust stains

? Are you asking for info about the pattern of the staining? I sought out this info when I built my 1/48 Monogram Ju 88. Hard to find good references as most ground shots were of a wiped down plane, and shadow obscured in-flight shots. But I found several photos of in-flight that show the staining lifts from the exhaust pipes sharply upward to the leading edge, while the bottom smoke flows back rather straight. A small amount blows over the top of the wing while under the wing the smoke flares out slightly from the nacelle/wing joint.

Hi Patrick

As Fred wrote

on most planes you'll see very dark stains on the underside around the nacelles (all you have painted green)... and do not forget the tail!!! it got pretty dirty too

BTW Did you use the MDC conversion?

cheers
