Does anyone know where I can find good reference pictures of P-51D units that saw action in the Pacific? Some website on the internet?
I need paint schemes, so anything would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Hi Chip,
See Osprey's VLR P-51 Units of the Pacific War.
Some others: http://www.mustangsmustangs.net/p-51/p51pics/military/pto.shtml
http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/magazine/1999/12/stuff_eng_profile_mustang1.htm
IIRC, by the time 5th A.F. got P-51Ds, all got dressed like the top profile of the bottom link. I have Kenn C. Rust's Fifth Air Force Story, as well as Steve Birdsall's Flying buccaneers: The illustrated story of Kenney's Fifth Air Force, and the various Squadron-Signal books.
Now, for the Iwo Jima based Mustangs storied in the Osprey book:

This looks to have beau coup info: http://members.aol.com/veterans/warlib5a.htm
Then, 14th A.F.'s 'Stangs:

Several color pix available here.
