Hi all!
Arent' we living in a fantastic world!
If I order my Royal Class Fw 109 directly at Eduard: $224.91
If I order my Royal Class Fw 109 at great Models: $175.94
I know Eduard is not responsible for this but it's quite...

Jean-Luc,
You are not comparing the same kit.
Only Eduard have the R0004X version with real knights cross ribbon and aircraft piece.
Greatmodels are being a little bit sneaky with how they are advertising this - perhaps it is just a mistake?
Either way, only 100 of the "X" packages are around, and they are ONLY available from Eduard.
Better get those extra $ ready!

Fw 109???? you might build perfect models, Captain, but you are cheating in History :-) :-) :-)
BTW it is EK2 band! not RK (though it might be the same manufacturer or even band)
cheers

Hi Nicholas!
I've checked back at Eduard. For me, living in France (E.U.) the kit costs (with shipping):
R0004 = $ 224.91 (this is the "normal" Royal Class)
R0004X = $ 254.66 (this is the Royal Class with original ribbon piece)
At Great Models (with shipping):
R0004 = $175.94
Great Models are not "sneaky", the Royal Class R0004X with original ribbon piece is only sold on Eduard's website as you said. So the only Royal Class you can get elsewhere is the "normal" R0004. I compared the same references.
What makes the price difference?
Royal Class at Eduard = $160
Royal Class at Great Models = $139.95
Shipping Eduard = $29
Shipping Great Models = $35.99
Eduard Value added tax (VAT) for E.U. = $ 35.91
Great Models Value added tax (VAT) = $0
I used to order directly from Eduard in the past, I'm not going to do it anymore! As I said, Eduard is not responsible for this since the Czech Republic entered the E.U. and we have to pay those taxes now. I wish Eduard well, but I guess they will sell less to Europeans on their website.
Steffen, never heard of the Fw 109? I have some pictures if you want! :-)
