I just Finished watching Flyboys the movie and then Bang it hit me like a bullet through the shoulder I want to build a plane and Fokker Triplane like the Black Falcon's well any who the questions who make's a good 1/48th scale kit and are there any surving plans and photo's of the Black Flacon

For 1/48 at this moment the DML / Dragon kit is the best. Needs some work but as a plastic kit it is the best.

In 1/72 Eduard had a very nice kit of the Fokker Dr.I and they are pending to release (this year?) a 1/48 kit as well.

Next the "Black Falcon" is a fictional character but Tony Bill used an existing full sized flying replica. The replica triplane originally had the markings of Ltn. Josef Jacobs markings see the image below. (Profile #12) w/n 2075, Fok. Dr.I 450/17 was flown during April - May 1918 by Ltn. Josef Jacobs as commander of Jasta 7. This is a DML kit with decals from the 5906 kit.
