today I finally took some photos of my Trumpeter Westland Wyvern S.4. It was just a fun build to get some motivation ...

Hmmm, let's see if I find something... maybe some overspray on the tailplane. I would also add a wash on the wheels.

Other than that I think the model is very good and you did a great job for a "fun" build!

It's funny how the bomb appears undersized while hanging under such a beast!

You missed the wind screen, but I guess that is hardly noticeable on the pix .. somehow i got white "spots" under the masks .. I could polish most from the canopy, but the windscreen is to small to get polished .. I scrapped it away with a scalpel and added Klear .. still it is there

Thanks for the hint with the wheels ... that is something I forgot and I can still add ..

Hmm, overspay ... missed that .. let's say it was a gull hitting the root of the rudder :-) :-) or a near Flak miss

do not forget: this bird is huge, much larger than a P-47 .. not to mention a Bf 109

Thats why the camera puts some distorsion on the model .. e.g. the banana back is a little over-pronounced in the pix

@Dave indeed, it has something that makes it special .. even if it is still ugly

@Hermon .. well, actually "fun" refers to how serious I take the project .. I do not care if I hit the right sky tone or sea grey .... I do not care if all details are right and most important no AM stuff ...... of course no CA/MPM/SH/Azur/FM/Mach2/.... kit will ever fall in the fun category ... not for me

Still my building process is always similar, so (hopefully) my fun models are not too far away from the "serious" builds ..

BTW I have seen your models here and they look great!!

be glad all of your models are fun! I have some that are clearly not .. most recent finished was the Buffalo, but there are more (Trumpeter Fw 200, CA F-5B ....)

and I built it in 3 weeks (glueing the first part to semi-gloss finish) which is speed of light compared to my usual building time for a kit ..

Nice job I tend to prefer jets myself but i quite like this strange bird so i'm on the look out now on ebay to get my own.
